After spending hours writing the perfect resume and even more online job searching, you finally find the position that looks as if it was written for you. You read the job requirements and know you meet every single one, you have just enough experience without having too much and luckily they’re still accepting applications. After […]
Here’s the thing, I’m a very by the book kind of girl. I use crosswalks, read direction manuals and always make sure to follow the guidelines on every assignment. The same applies to my dating history, with me getting to know each guy slowly, not texting him too quickly and generally playing the game we […]
There should be a pamphlet that comes along with your diploma as you cross the stage at your college graduation, or at the very least an email sent out notifying you that freedom as you know it is gone. Unless you enjoy sitting at home all day, watching TV, avoiding questions from relatives about what […]

Creating the perfect resume is freaking hard, especially when you are currently unemployed and willing to take the first job offer you get. With all the stress of knowing that there are dozens of people applying for the same job as you, sometimes small avoidable mistakes fall through the cracks. Listen, I get it. I […]
During college I never had a job, and to be honest, I hadn’t actually held a paying position anywhere since I was fourteen. Without a real need for extra money (my tuition and rent was paid for with my scholarships) I chose to instead use all my free time to volunteer and involve myself with […]

The past few days have been a whirlwind of crazy, the type that make you stare intently at the sidewalk in the small hope that it won’t get directed at you. Even though I’ve been running all over the city enjoying my favorite holiday weekend, I did pause to reflect on the fact that all […]
At least once I day I find myself yelling, “oh my god, how did I forget that?” to myself. Usually I’m talking about the fact that I failed once again to type a response to that text I saw while walking down the street or scrolling through hours of Instagram posts. I am definitely one […]
Dr.Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my all time favorite movie, and not in a it’s-my-favorite-holiday-movie kind of way. I mean, I can watch Jim Carrey covered in green fuzz whether it’s Christmas Eve or Fourth of July. There has never been a time when I’ve seen the movie on TV and not dropped […]
Valentine’s Day is a holiday you either love or hate, probably determined by whether you have someone to celebrate with. In my case, I’ve always loved the holiday, single or not. What’s better than a day dedicated to treating someone else, or yourself, to a bunch of candy, compliments, and did I mention candy? It […]
The summer before my freshmen year of college was very hectic for me. As a Type A personality, I must have read every college dorm packing list available, searching for one that listed every possible item I could have needed once moved into my freshmen year dorm. What I didn’t take into consideration was the […]
You guys, I tried, I really did. Here’s the thing, in the past thirty days I seriously learned what my obstacles are, where I continuously fail myself, and how others manage to get past all these excuses. Okay, it doesn’t help that I’m drinking a Coke as I write this, but in my defense I […]
My overall theme for this year was to live for me more, which I talked about a little in my word of the year post. The two things I love to do are blog and travel, both cost a little money, but the latter definitely more. Keeping those two things in mind I’ve been more […]
